Southwest Key Programs is a national nonprofit organization headquartered in Austin, Texas. We were founded in 1987 by our current El Presidente/CEO Dr. Juan Sanchez to provide services that positively impact the lives of youth and families. Today our creative and diverse staff of over 1000 employees operate juvenile justice and family wraparound programs, safe shelters for immigrant children, alternative schools, youth empowerment and fatherhood programs, job creation initiatives, and child care brokerage services across seven states. Southwest Key’s goal is to keep youth out of
jails and detention facilities, to reunify families, and to
strengthen the fabric of their communities.
